Police officers in the US have killed at least 28 people holding BB or pellet guns this year alone. The fatalities have prompted some lawmakers to push for tighter regulations on the design of non-lethal guns. This has been especially relevent considering the case of 12 year old Tamir Rice. Rice was carrying a toy gun when he was shot dead in Cleveland, Ohio by an Officer. A 13 year old by the name Andy Lopez was also shot dead by an officer while carrying a toy gun that resembled an AK-47.
